Visited a computer shop where I live. I knew things were going to be weird when I saw the owner’s landau top black XTS out front.

$1,500 minimum for his builds. He just seemed to be talking nonsense for 20 minutes. Really couldn’t get a straight answer for what $1500 would even get me. Prices he gave me for stuff just seemed scam worthy “GTX 970 alone costs $600”. Then bashed me for buying a MB.

Probably will just get the One. I’m not cut out for this life.

Yeah that sounds shady. My 980 wasn’t even $600.

Honestly, and I’m not bullshitting you in the least, putting a computer together yourself is super easy. There’s a ton of information out there if you get stuck, too. It’s pretty much just a question of putting things into slots, and since each thing and slot have their own shape, it’s pretty hard to screw it up. Routing wires is probably the most frustrating part, and that’s only really necessary if you care how it looks inside or want to get a bit of extra cooling.

And that’s not out of the question. I just wouldn’t mind paying a little more money to have support/peace of mind. Even just someone helping me wouldn’t be bad. I’ll see.

Just build your own if you want to go PC. As long as you buy the correct parts, building a computer is like putting together a Lego model. Very simple.
